Whirling is a century old tradition and practice that was devised as a way to attune and commune with the divine. For me, Whirling, spinning, turning, rotating is a universal movement, everything spins relative to everything else, I simply join in the dance.

Whirling follows toroidal flow -the primordial movement of energy and feedback, it engenders a state of harmony and connection with the celestial revolutions of the universe --the Music of the Spheres. Whirling yields to vortex physics, as seen in tornadoes and weather patterns and so at its centre or heart it revolves around a still point -the eye of the storm. Whirling is a meditation, a prayer ---the art of stillness and surrender. 

In order to whirl effectively one must surrender to the movement that is already there.
